The wedding couple collect many types of sheep memorabilia as a hobby and they suggested using sheep in the design. The sheep theme also linked in well with the setting of a wedding in the Lakes. The colour scheme of the wedding was ivory and gold so these colours were also worked into the design.
The final design uses a textured white card. A recess in the card creates a window for the wedding sheep illustration. The illustration is highlighted with gold, on an ivory textured paper. The inserts are plain white on this invitation with clean and clear wording. Everything is tied together with gold thread at the side.
For this small wedding, the theme of sheep and the colour gold was carried through into the thank-you cards, completing the co-ordination of this set.
