Their colour theme for the wedding was gold and deep red, so this needed to be
applied to the stationery.
After a few trial runs the final design used two simple motifs of a rose and a
heart, which were repeated along the bottom of translucent paper, which was
then overlaid onto gold card. The motifs were carried through onto the place
cards. The bride also used the theme for the favours by making heart shaped
boxes, painted gold.
